Awareness and Consciousness

Awareness is the necessary basis of all theoretical knowledge, which includes the knowledge of the behavior and human brain.  Awareness is not materialistic.  Most of the philosophers overlook the reality of the awareness they already possess. All the living things in this universe have one thing in common which is the undeniable immediacy of Awareness. Awareness is the backdrop against which all individual consciousness and experience arises. It is stable, ever present.  Awareness remains stable, constant,undisturbed in any event of physical and mental activity.

 Awareness is mistaken for a self, which is not the thought, mind, feelings. There is something which precedes consciousness and witnesses everything you experience. Awareness is vast, open, a symbol of liberation, untouched by any actions, thoughts, good or bad deeds.  Consciousness is just the outcome of material brains. Consciousness is an illusion, matter is an illusion. Consciousness depends on matter, matter depends on consciousness. So we can come to a conclusion that it is also dependent and changing.  There should be something that is eternal, ever changing, everlasting that is nothing but awareness. It is full of love, affection, equality, openness, eternal. Consciousness is arrangement of mind, mind is always arranged in the image of what we believe. Magnetism is not generated, it is displayed. Wise, sharp, healthy, foolish, beggar,poor, rich, entrepreneur, priest, evangelist, astrologer, philosopher, and scientist are not created; they are just manifested by the arrangement of mind. The basic nature of the primal cause is consciousness. Therefore, the ultimate substance of all things is consciousness. To get transformed the whole basis of thoughts must change.  Consciousness is the active dimension of mind and emotion. Consciousness is characterized by movement and activity. Consciousness is personalized. Awareness is the background of consciousness, consciousness is within the realm of awareness. Infinite Awareness is the backdrop for all individual human experience, the conscious mind has access to our inner Awareness.

 It is the mystery for Materialists. It is the secret of the Nature.  It is the only reality available in this universe. The great secret is a controlled imagination and a well sustained attention, firmly and repeatedly focused on the object to be accomplished. It can be experienced by creating an ideal within the mental sphere, by assuming that we are already that ideal, by identifying our self with it and thereby transform our self into its image. The power of attention is the measure of inner force. All progress depends upon an increase of attention. If we persist night after night,  day after day sooner or later we will be awaken in our real, and  become conscious of our greater self the real self. Natural awareness is the undisturbed constant.  Awareness is the absolute completeness. Awareness is the perfection of Reality. Awareness is the open secret which we all can discover ourselves. Awareness is free from mental constructions.  All forms are endowed with the sameness of space within it. Awareness is the great bliss of non-attachment. When we reach Awareness, everything is complete.  Awareness is the level where even the Sun and the Moon lose their distinction. It is a state in which everything looks in equality, It is end of differentiation. Awareness is enlightenment. Awareness is attaining Realization. Awareness is liberation from everything. Awareness is forever awakened state. Awareness is the fulfillment, this is the highest good. It is unpolluted by the good or bad of worldliness. Awareness is like a lotus which is unaffected by the mud from which it grows. 

Mars(The Warrior) moves into Leo

Mars is known as a Commander in Chief according to Vedic system of Astrology. Broadly Mars signifies Defense forces, power, fighting spirit, Accidents, Natural Calamities, Security forces, Aggression, younger siblings. Sun and Mars are the protecting forces in any chart. Sun rules Leadership, Ego, Administration where as Mars loves to protect these things by assisting the ruler by providing sufficient energy. This is why Sun enjoys in the signs(Aries,Scorpio) ruled by Mars and Mars enjoys in the sign Leo which is ruled by Sun.

A strong Mars is usually good for giving good competition but due to its malefic nature most of the times this over shoots and turns into violence. Violent approach of any human being is usually referred to Mars. An ill placed or a debilitated Mars denotes weak energy levels, lack of initiative, short temper and violent nature due to low tolerance low energy levels.

The police men and bomb squads are always getting spurious calls of bombs being placed in various malls, shopping complexes, multiplexes and various other prominent places where huge crowds are usually gathered. This period has given sleepless nights to all the security forces in the country. The general public also suffered a lot with several apprehensions, anxiety and fear in their day to day life.

Mars is debilitated in Cancer. If we slightly get into a deeper analysis and question ourselves of how this can be interpreted then we will get the following explanation. Mars is the protector as it is signified as a commander which can be simply explained as the energy that we have in us to respond when something happens to us more specifically at the physical level. If we have more energy certainly we will have more courage to fight the situation and we confront more. Now let me dwell much deeper into this concept for a better understanding. Mars is debilitated is in the sign of Cancer which is lorded by Moon. The Central Government stance against Naxals (Maoists) has given a negative outcome. The CRPF men died in large number in two successive incidents in Dantewada district of Chattisgarh within a span of one month. This is a period where Terrorists and anti government forces had an edge over the government the obvious reason for this is a debilitated Mars.

The most important thing that we can notice here during the transit of Mars into Cancer which is a watery sign we had experienced major cyclone which affected the lives of many people in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka during October 2009. Once again we had witnessed a Cyclone in Andhra Pradesh and a Major plane crash of the decade in Mangalore Airport of Karnataka State. Hence Mars has shown maximum effect while entering and leaving the sign of Cancer.

Leo is the fifth house of the natural zodiac or the chart of kalapurusha. This is ruled by Sun and it represents power and Authority. Mars entry into Leo is going to have an impact with the people in higher positions. Some changes in the state and central governments are visible due to this transit. Today we have already got a hint from the withdrawal of support from BJP to Shibusoren Government of Jharkhand. So this transit could pave the way for some changes in the positions of various political leaders of the States and Centre.

RAHU KETU TRANSIT

Rahu -ketu the two shadow planets which are also known as the north and south nodes of Moon move into Sagittarius and Gemini respectively. With the transit of Rahu and Ketu Jupiter comes out of affliction in the sign of Capricorn. For the next 1.5 years Rahu and Ketu will stay in Sagittarius and Gemini respectively. This transit is happening on 17th November 2009.

Rahu is known for materialistic pleasures, pride, ruling. It is going to be in Sagittarius for the next 18 months. Sagittarius is the sign lorded by Jupiter so religious and spiritual values will be on the rise after overcoming the initial obstacles over the coming period.

Ketu is known for Mysterious things, detachment, spiritual desires, occult interests will move into the sign of Gemini. Gemini is ruled by Mercury the presence of Ketu in the sign ruled by Mercury will give rise to spiritual pursuits. There will be some disruptions in the Communication arena. Ketu will stay in Gemini for the next 18 months.

Effects on Moon Signs

ARIES

Rahu is in the ninth house and Ketu is in the third house. Fortune may dwindle and depression due to the blockade. But energy levels will be sufficient to tackle this. Some obstructions at work place and most of the things would be under control. Monetary flow may not be a problem. Foreign Travel is Possibility. Travel to spiritual places is also possible in the coming future.

TAURUS

Rahu is in the eighth house and Ketu is in the second house. Health and monetary issues needs to be taken utmost care. There may be sudden gains. You may be able to win over the troubles that you have been facing.

GEMINI

Rahu is in the seventh house and ketu is in the first house. Their Natal Moon is afflicted hence there will be Mental depression, sorrows, sleep disorders, Mood swings. Health of Spouse may be troublesome. Social aspects could improve. Chronic health issues should be taken proper medical care.

CANCER

Due to overwhelming response to my Article on Sade Sati and the general curiosity among the Visitors to know the influence of Saturn in their life I wanted to provide the following information of Saturn influence on various zodiacal Signs over the next 2.5 years. I am avoiding the signs that are not going to have significant influence. So far I have not written any Article on Saturn transit due its wide availability on the web but I felt the genuine need to provide the information which is unique in its format.


Apart from the below mentioned signs there is no serious negative influence of Saturn over the remaining Zodiacal Signs. The individuals belong to the above zodiacal signs are under the higher influence of Saturn over next 2.5 years. Out of the five signs mentioned above Libra people are the most beneficiary lot due to the influence of Sade Sati first phase.   There will be big rise in their Expenditure levels in the initial days of Sade Sati.  They could have already witnessed some new developments taking place in their life. LEO
Betterment will happen due to lessening negative influence of Saturn. JUPITER ENDS RETROGRADE AND TURNS DIRECT ON 13TH

Jupiter has been under Retrograde since 16th June 2009. This period of Retrograde can be described as four months of journey into the alignment of our integrity with our Soul’s Purpose. A long drawn desire which might be unfruitful for years could have come into focus to get materialized in these four months period.

We might have been working hard and waiting to see the results of our actions. We all were into understanding the reflections of our beliefs and values in these four months.

We need to reschedule ourselves from 13th October as Jupiter is turning direct in Capricorn. We might be experiencing unexpected events turning in our life and making our intuitions and goals intact. Some new Job opportunities may be round the corner for people who are putting efforts in the Professional arena.


We might be looking at our inherent strengths and trying to utilize our strengths by focusing on the right plane. A thorough understanding of our past events could have been going on with an idea of making our future bright. Most of the things that are happening around us as well as in the Global arena will have a reality check after Jupiter ends his Retrograde and turns direct.  There could be some significant changes in the Political and Economical arena.

Of course our energy levels could have dried up to some extent but did we really use our energy levels in the right arena in the past four months. If we have worked out our energy levels to expand our wisdom, virtues, spiritual learning then sure the Planet Jupiter is going to give us fruitful results in the coming future.

THE PANCHANG

PANCHANG



It can be bifurcated as Panch Anga which means five limbs.  The five elements of Panchanga are useful in timing the events.  The Panchanga is widely used to know the auspicious, inauspicious nature of a particular time period.


Varana (Week Day)


Each week Day has a Planetary Ruler.  The seven Week Days are Ruled by Seven Planets.


Nakshatra


This is derived from the Position of the Moon in the Lunar Mansion.


Tithi 


The Lunar Month is divided in to 30 tithis.  The first fifteen tithis are from the Waxing Moon Phase which is known as Shukla Paksha.  The remaining fifteen tithis are from Waning Moon Phase and it is known as Krishna Paksha.  Full Moon Day is Called as Purnima and the exact Conjunction tithi of Sun and Moon is called "Amavasya" which denotes a Black Lunar Day and considered highly Inauspicious day as per the Vedic Calender.


Karana  


Each tithi is divided into two halves and called as Karanas.  There are only 11 Karanas but repeat to span the full cycle of
60 Karanas.


Yoga  


This is based on the combination of Sun and Moon.  There are 27 Yogas associated with 27 Nakshatras.  This can be calculated by adding the Longitude of the Sun and Moon.  The arrived figure should have an addition of 80.  Multiples of 360 should be subtracted from the arrived figure so that a degree range of 0-360 can be attained.  Based on the degree arrived Nakshatra has to be determined. 


These combinations have to be ascertained on the basis of Indian or Hindu Calender.  This is the basic concept behind the measurement of Time.  Each element of Panchanga has its own significance and offers an assistance in the interpretation of the Horoscope.

THE 27 NAKSHATRAS AND THEIR CHARACTERISTICS

NAKSHATRAS


Naksha means the approach and Tra means to guard.  Nakshatras break up the zodiac into equal segments.   There are 27 Nakshatras and each Nakshatra takes up a space of 13'20" in the Zodiac.   These are also called as Lunar Mansions.  Moon has special relationship with Nakshatras.  The Nakshatra position of the Moon is vital and it is the focal point in Vedic Astrology.   Each Nakshatra has a planetary ruler assigned to it and this rulership is important in Vimshottari Dasha System.  Nakshatras with their cosmic powers rule and direct life towards its karmic path, subtly influencing to bring about changes in the psyche.
